Broaden Your Horizons
You’re just a few steps away from your adventure under sail.
Step 1 Find out about our adventures
If you have not done so already read through our website or chat to one of our staff via email or phone. We would like you to enjoy your voyage and it’s important that you know what’s involved and to think about what you would like to get out of it.
Step 2 Make a no obligation provisional booking.
Check our current availability, either online here, or speak to us directly to discuss your requirements. Then call us to make a no obligation provisional booking. We will then reserve this space and send you a booking form plus any further details you need to proceed with your reservation.
Step 3 Confirm your booking
Return your completed booking form and requirements form within 14 days of making a provisional booking, along with an initial 10% deposit for each member of the party.
Step 4 Payment
We can arrange to spread the cost of your voyage over a period of time up until 60 days prior to your voyage, please call us to arrange a suitable payment plan. Our standard payment plan is as follows:
This represents our standard payment plan however we are able to change this depending on individual circumstance. Please call us should you wish to discuss this.
Step 5 Final Balance and booking forms.
The final balance of the voyage fee is due 60 days before the voyage. Completed booking forms (signed by parent/guardian if under 18) should be returned at least 14 days prior to the voyage.
Step 6 OYT Scotland takes care of the rest
Your adventure arrangements will be taken care of by one of our experienced and friendly staff members who will be on hand to offer any assistance or answer any questions you may have.
If you are making a group booking one of our youth development officers will visit you to deliver a voyage planning session, please phone us for more details and to make arrangements.
What our prices include:
A 10% discount is applied if 12 berths are booked at the same time. Further to this an additional berth for one group leader/teacher/youth worker will be provided free of charge.
OYT Scotland carries full public liability insurance to cover all aspects of our activities. We do however strongly recommend that you arrange your own insurance to cover booking, travel to and from the boat and personal belongings – we cannot accept liability for these aspects of your trip. If you would like to take out personal insurance we would recommend TopSail Insurance who have produced an OYTScotland specific insurance package.
Assisted berth scheme (ABS)
OYT Scotland’s voyages are available to all regardless of background and ability . We are aware that financial circumstances may prevent many young people from benefiting from one of our youth development voyages. We are committed to raising funds to overcome this barrier and we have grant funding available. ABS grants are considered by written application detailing the amount required and your plans to raise the remaining total.
Our voyages are not all about sailing, they are also about people. Click here to find out where our current vessels are sailing.
