Sailing and Vaccinations Important UpdateEveryone’s safety on-board has always been our number one priority when taking anyone to sea. The ever-evolving covid situation has given us a lot more to consider, or to mitigate, in order to ensure we can continue to keep all staff, volunteers and clients as safe as possible on our voyages. Due to this, we will now require everyone over 18 to be fully vaccinated (2 + Booster) in order to sail with us this year, among other things. Please see below requirements: - We will be requiring all over 18’s to be fully vaccinated (including the booster).
- Are asking that all participants and staff LFT 3-4 days prior to the voyage and on the morning of the voyage – we may consider a test before departure.
- We will be keeping up with the hygiene routines onboard, for instance wiping down surfaces and using hand sanitiser.
- We won’t be requiring anybody onboard to wear a mask but if somebody feels more comfortable wearing one we won’t discourage it and they could ask others to wear one in close quarters situations e.g. the chart table.
We hope everyone can appreciate our reasoning behind this but if you would like to speak to someone about it, please get in touch: e: office@oytscotland.org.uk tel: 01475 722 722 SeminarThank you to everyone who attended our Annual Training Seminar in Stirling a couple of weeks ago.
