Coronavirus (Covid-19) update

Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), Ocean Youth Trust Scotland will, with effect from 19 March 2020, be offering all youth groups due to sail in the next 12 weeks the opportunity to reschedule their youth voyage for later in the season. The Trust is committed to ensuring all current bookings are honoured where possible.

This decision was based on the updated advice from the government restricting non-essential social contact and unnecessary travel, and from discussions with medical professionals and colleagues from across the sail training industry.

The health and wellbeing of the Trust’s staff, volunteers and clients is our upmost priority and we feel this is necessary to protect all those who sail with us. We will keep you updated on our position. Our Development Team is working hard to contact all those with imminent voyage bookings and will be in touch with you very soon. However, if you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 01475 722 722.

Below are the links to a number of online resources which have the most up-to-date information on the virus, and cover what Coronavirus and COVID-19 are, symptoms, methods to protect yourself and your colleagues/communities from infection and what to do if you think you may have been exposed to the virus or have symptoms.

We want to ensure that our members, volunteers, partner organisations and the young people we support are safe and healthy, so please take the time to study these resources and share them with those you think will benefit.

Please feel free to call the OYT Scotland office on 01475 722 722 if you have any questions.
