Check out this incredible art work by Eva Hewitt! The painting, named ‘Gleam and Resonate’ depicts the crew from Eva Hewitt’s recent voyage with scholars from the Robertson Trust Scholarship programme.
She has explained: “The title ‘Gleam and Resonate’ acts as a direct reference to the glistening of the ocean when hit with the sun, but also the sparkle of eyes which are full of wonder. Hence, I have paid close attention the eyes of the figures within as I noticed they were so lively and expressive during this adventure. Additionally, I enjoy the Rockwellian style of expressive facial features and so I studied each face intensely to achieve a certain degree of both realism and each individual personality.”
