Today is a special day for us! ?
20 years ago today, Alba Venturer was launched at the Moat House Hotel in Glasgow, now the Crowne Plaza. Despite the pouring rain, a piper lifted the spirits as our Patrons Curly and Barbara Mills launched Alba Venturer with a bottle of Arran Malt.
Over the years she has helped to inspire thousands of young people, explored the coast and islands of Scotland, and had amazing adventures further afield.
Though 20 years have passed since the first group of young people set sail on the newly built Alba Venturer, what we do has stayed the same. A voyage with Ocean Youth Trust Scotland makes a real difference to people’s lives and it is this long term impact that drives us.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of Ocean Youth Trust Scotland over the past 20 years. Here’s to the next 20!
