Port Details - Oban (North Pier Pontoons)

We normally sail out of James Watt Dock in Greenock at the beginning and end of the season. The middle of the season (roughly June – August) we will often sail from Oban and further afield.

See below details for the North Pier Pontoons and Oban and how to get there for your voyage. Please see your joining instructions email for your start time and date.

The vessels are no longer moored in Oban marina on Kerrera.

So, please don’t get on the little ferry to Kerrera.

Our boats will be tied up along the pontoon accessible from the North Side of the North Pier and should be visible from the road.

Getting There: By Car

We do not recommend driving to Oban as parking can be extremely difficult, especially during the summer months. In addition, you are now required to pay every day (which isn’t possible when you’re on the water). You will receive tickets daily if parking is not paid.

Getting There: By Train

Oban Train Station is about a 5 minute walk from the pier. On exiting, keep the water on your left and walk towards the North Pier (red roofed buidings). There is a gate accessible from the car park which will take you down to the pontoons.
