Ocean Youth Trust Scotland is proud to announce that 2015 will see the return of its flagship vessel, Alba Venturer. A generous donation from patrons, Barbara and Curly Mills, has kick started our fundraising efforts to refit Alba Venturer and bring her back into service in 2015. Alba Venturer was launched in 1999 and has taken approximately 5,500 young people to sea. Due to the greater costs of providing her

St Kilda Crew Arrive Safely in Oban We are pleased to report that the crew of Alba Endeavour arrived safely at Oban Marina yesterday lunchtime. Having spent a few hours at Village Bay ashore, they headed south on Friday evening about 12 pm, passing through the sound of Pabbay. They arrived in Tobermory on Saturday at around 2pm for a much needed rest. We will be shortly posting photos of

Well, they’ve made it!  Yesterday, after much deliberation due to the stormy weather, the crew of the May 2014 St. Kilda Challenge made it ashore to St. Kilda. Five Ferries Challenge – Hoorah!

On Saturday 31st May, 26 cyclists took part in the Five Ferries Challenge cycling 52 miles in one day to raise funds for OYT Scotland. Starting in Ardrossan, the cyclists took on the first leg of the challenge in record time, but due to the traffic, missed the Lochranza ferry to Clonaig. Undeterred, they had an extra long lunch break, then arrived in Clonaig to make the 10 mile cycle
